Jeff graduated Auburn University in 1998 and began a career in Information Technology. His first job was programming for Y2K in Charlotte, NC. Once the year 2000 passed, Jeff returned to his hometown of Atlanta, GA where there are more software companies than Silicon Valley. Here he excelled as a network consultant servicing over 50 small companies’ IT needs. After 10 years and great success Jeff decided he needed a career servicing people, not machines. He decided to follow his heart and get the law degree he knew would open the door to such a career.

Jeff pursued and attained that degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, FL. In Jacksonville Jeff started his career in service of the “little guy.” Jeff worked for two years with the Law office of Chris Johns representing the injured against the big insurance companies. It was there that Jeff’s desire to use his knowledge and expertise in service of others was solidified. At Chris Johns, Jeff spent his days fighting on the phone with insurance adjusters to get his clients the money they deserved. He honed his negotiations skills that would later serve clients with financial injuries, not just physical ones. Case after case of appreciative clients getting restitution for injuries that were no fault of their own prompted Jeff to find even more ways to service others.

The opportunity to help indigent taxpayers presented itself shortly and Jeff took it. He began working at the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic of the 3 Rivers Legal Services, a non-profit law firm, where he defended the indigent against the IRS. Jeff quickly found that you don’t need much money for the IRS to make your life miserable. Again, Jeff spent his days fighting for his clients with IRS Revenue agents and further honing his negotiating skills. Recognizing the complexity of tax law, Jeff moved to Denver and is pursuing an LLM in taxation from the University of Denver.

Jeff has continues to service taxpayers. He helps small business owners get out of debt with the

IRS and avoid penalties and interest wherever possible. While working with taxpayers’ financial information Jeff realized there were more people he could help. Jeff began helping people settle their unsecured debt and file for bankruptcy. Jeff continues to practice tax law, debt settlement, and bankruptcy fulfilling his dream of helping people and enjoying true job satisfaction.
